Although it mainly stays within the canopy of the forest, this beautiful jay is fairly conspicuous and easy to see. They are normally seen in small flocks and are cautiously inquisitive. At Iguassu Falls, I found that they would often approach quite closely if I could find a quiet spot away from the crowds of tourists.
